If you have any problem concerning the services we offer, look at the following FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions). If your problem does not fall within the following questions, contact us, you will find the references on this page!

How do I volunteer?

Participating in voluntary activities is very simple. First of all you have to sign up to the site by clicking on “login and registration”. Once the registration is complete, go to the “Volunteering activities” section, look for the volunteering project that suits you best and click on it. Once you have chosen the activity, you only need to click on the date you prefer and you will be contacted within 72 hours by the host association.

I can't access the website, what should I do?

If the problem is related to the login credentials, check them a couple of times to find out whether they are correct or not. If you don’t remember your password, follow the instructions for the password recovery procedure. If any other error occurs during the login phase, do not hesitate to contact us.

I'm having problems with "password recovery"

If you have received the email for recovery and you are unable to proceed correctly with the password change, it may be that you have clicked more than once on the link received by mail or that you have spent too much time since receiving the email. Remember that the link you receive via email is ONLY clickable once and it expires after 10 minutes. That means that if you click more than once, if you do not click on the link received or do not proceed with the password change within 10 minutes you will have to request a new password. Once the link is open, you can select the self-generated password and eventually change it at your convenience.

If you have requested a new password instead and have not received any email yet, wait a few minutes. If you don’t receive it within 5/10 minutes there could be problems with the email servers. In this case contact us and we will help you directly.

I am the manager of an association, do I have to insure the volunteer candidates I have received?

Absolutely yes! GenerazioneAltruista (MilanoAltruista) acts as a bridge between citizens and associations, the citizens who use our service are not our volunteers. Since the candidates begin to carry out any voluntary activity for your association, they must be insured by law.

I have not yet been contacted by the host association; how should I proceed?

First of all, wait a few days compared to the standard 72h of the service. Often associations have a lot of work and few volunteers to help and it is difficult to take care of everything, please bear with us. If within 4/5 days you have not received the requested contact, get in touch with our Association, we will try to connect you.

I want to volunteer but I'm not a teenager

Visit the MilanoAltruista website, the association of which GenerazioneAltruista is a member and which performs the same free services regardless of age and open to everyone.

GenerazioneAltruista and MilanoAltruista are the same thing?

No, GenerazioneAltruista is a project of the MilanoAltruista association, it was born in 2015 from the desire to promote a fun volunteering of a group of teenage volunteers. Despite being part of the same organization, GenerazioneAltruista has its own team of volunteers who manage the services offered.

I would like my children to volunteer but they are minors

Don’t worry, GenerazioneAltruista’s mission is just that. Many associations do not accept minors because of issues with insurance or bureaucracy. However on our portal there are also activities for minors. If there is nothing interesting, you can contact us directly, we are always looking for young selfless guys willing to help!
